Pricing note
Body hair
A grooming preference turned into a deliberately superficial price curve.
The scoring assumes that less body hair is more desirable in the dating market, with a much steeper preference on the female track. It is a cultural preference, not a measure of health.
Score: the male track runs from −$10,000 for very hairy to +$30,000 for no hair. The female track runs from −$50,000 to +$70,000.
Werewolf syndrome
Hypertrichosis is the medical term for unusually extensive hair growth and is sometimes called “werewolf syndrome.” It can affect most of the body or remain localized to one area. Severity varies widely, and a mild case can simply be one end of normal human variation.
