Income and work

Current earning power gets a straightforward market adjustment.

Income is the most direct measure of present earning power, so the quiz scores it once the respondent is older than 21.

Profession itself stays neutral because a job title does not reliably reveal pay, stability, or skill. Unemployment after age 23 receives a penalty because it affects current income and near-term prospects.

Score: income ranges from −$20,000 below $20,000 per year to +$400,000 at $1 million or more. Unemployment after age 23 subtracts $50,000; other professions add $0.
